A note from Jeff Yule.
We are excited to launch the fourth season of the House League and hope you can be part of it. This league is not about raising money for our charity. What it is about for us, is that this is a great way to stay in contact with our Capital Cup for Kids supporters and participants. The Capital Cup for Kids annual hockey tournament has raised over $310,000 for our organization in 6 years and has opened countless doors to our organization. Moreover, our families have enjoyed meeting the Capital Cup Family as they so appreciate all you have done to support their home away from home.

House League Classic
The House League Classic at the Times Union Center will take place on April 12, 2016. at 8PM, following the Devils game.

House League Final
Congratulations to the Green team who beat the White team in the finals of the House league in a thrilling 3-2 game.
We are proud to introduce the fourth season of “The House League”, an adult B level hockey league supporting the Ronald McDonald House of Albany. The league is tied to the Capital Cup for Kids hockey tournament held each year at the Knickerbacker in Lansingburgh and run by the same organizers. The league will also benefit Ronald McDonald House of Albany.
The season begins September 25, 2016 and ends April 18th, 2017.
There will be six teams, playing games once a week from September to April.
Each team will play 25 regular season games. The last three weeks will be reserved for the playoffs. Games will run every week on Sunday and Monday and Wednesday nights. The league games will be held at the Knickerbacker on Sundays at 9PM and Wednesdays at 8:20PM and also at Albany Academy on Monday nights at 8:20PM. Starting in March, the games are played on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 7:30, 8:15 and 7:00 PM.
The fourth annual House League All-Star game will be held at the Times Union Center.
The league will be B level and be governed by the same player evaluation standards and rules as the Capital Cup for Kids tournament.
The games will be refereed and periods will be sixteen minutes in length.
The league will have its own website and stats.
Jerseys will be included in the cost for the season.
There will be no additional fundraising pressure on players as we would like to reserve fundraising for the Capital Cup for Kids tournament in May. However, any sub money raised during the season will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House.
To join the league: please contact Jeff Yule directly if you are interested in playing in this league. His email is jyule@rmhcofalbany.org. Providing you are not rated as an A player and fall in the B range and you are given a spot on one of the six teams you will then be directed to Chris Turner at Ronald McDonald House who will handle the payments.
The fee for the season is $430 and includes two referees per game, scorekeepers, website, playoffs and jerseys.
I hope to hear from you as this league has lots of potential going forward. If you have played in the Capital Cup for Kids tournament then you know what that potential could be. So if you are interested in playing in a league that prides itself on good, clean, competitive play, while also making a difference in the community, please consider joining the House League.

Congratulations to the Black team who edged out the White team in a 6-5 game at the Times Union Center.
We anticipate at least 86 of the 96 players from last year are returning to the House league. If you would like one of these coveted spots please see contact info below.
